Duties:

• Develop and review mathematical models and results, ensuring quality and timely deliverables for assigned programs or projects.
• Use various analytical tools, including Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT).
• Apply statistical and mathematical methods to turn data into results to assist technical, financial, and program managers in solving complex problems.
• Analyze options, estimate costs, and assess the impact of program or economic changes.
• Prepare and present detailed reports to management and stakeholders.
• Manage procedures related to the storage, retrieval, and sharing of data for cost, technical, and program-related information.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees must pass an E-Verify check for employment verification.

• Travel to different locations may be required, including CONUS (Continental U.S.) and OCONUS (Outside Continental U.S.) travel.
• You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.

• You must have or be able to obtain a Top-Secret SCI security clearance.
• This role requires certification in the Acquisition Functional Area (DAWIA) within established timeframes.
• A pre-employment drug test is required, including for marijuana. Failure to pass will rescind the tentative job offer.
• Ethics orientation and financial disclosure are required within 30 days of appointment.
• Telework may be allowed at management’s discretion.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-2 pay band in federal service, or an equivalent role in the private or public sector. You must have experience in:

  • Reviewing and interpreting policies.
  • Conducting cost analysis and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Using analytical software and databases.

• Education:

  • A degree in operations research, or at least 24 semester hours in operations research, mathematics, statistics, probability, mathematical logic, or other related subjects.
  • At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must be in calculus.

• Additional Information:

  • The position is subject to the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
  • Relocation incentives may be authorized, but PCS (Permanent Change of Station) is not.
